Harley-Davidson Motor Company is an American motorcycle manufacturer and certified supplier of military products to the US Armed Forces (since 1982). They are headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with manufacturing facilities in other regions of the United States and overseas. The company produces and sells the so-called heavy motorcycles.
The dominant feature of Harley's marketing policy is the creation of a community committed to that particular brand.
In addition to motorcycles, the company produces many consumer products with the Harley-Davidson emblem. Clothes, shoes, furniture, kitchen utensils produced under this brand allow you to create a unique Harley lifestyle.
Moreover, every owner of any Harley motorcycle has the opportunity to join the brand's motorcycle owner community (H.O.G. - Harley Owners Group). Today H.O.G. is the largest motorcycle club in the world with over a million members.
The main models are: Street, Sportster, Softail, Touring, Trike. In addition, there is also a line of bikes specially modified by the custom-studio CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) factory. The key features of the CVO models are manual assembly, special graphics and accessories, and the most powerful 117 cubic inch (1.92 liter) engine.
Each line features bikes in mostly dark colors with a minimal amount of chrome in the finish - Dark Custom line.
In 2008, the company bought 100% of the shares of the MV Agusta group from the Castiglioni family, which produces motorcycles under the MV Agusta and Cagiva brands.
